Behavioral Health Visitation at Eastside

In order to visit the Behavioral Health Department, visitors must present the patient’s pass code. To facilitate patient treatment and provide uninterrupted programming, the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit (located on the South Campus) will be open for visitation during the following days and times:

  • Wednesdays: South Unit | 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: West Unit | 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays: East Unit | 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Sundays: North Unit | 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

Visitation Policy

Visitation outside posted visiting hours requires approval of unit leadership and will be coordinated with unit staff and Social Services.

  • The minimum age for visiting the Behavioral Health Department is 18.
  • Each patient is allowed up to 2 visitors at one time.
  • All packages brought in by visitors must be searched by Public Safety Officers for contraband items and will be given to unit staff so that the contents can be inventoried and added to the patient’s belongings list.
  • No outside food or beverage is allowed.
  • Visitors are encouraged to leave purses, bags, cell phones, backpacks, etc. in their personal vehicle.
  • Locks and lockers are available for visitors to secure their keys; staff will not monitor or watch over visitors’ belongings.
  • If, during visitation, the patient and/or family become disruptive, the charge nurse/supervisor has the discretion to ask the visitor(s) to leave.
     

* Visitation may be restricted to virtual visitation according to departmental and community COVID transmission rates.
